I look at bathing with a baby (as in being in a tub with the baby, not just holding the baby while showering) as I look at co-sleeping. While it is something that is not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, for obvious reasons, I see no harm, as long as the utmost caution is exercised while doing so.
If you are a heavy sleeper, or can fall asleep suddenly, or are drinking or using drugs that promote or increase drowsiness, or have a history of passing out, then bathing in a tub with your baby or co-sleeping are two things you should never, ever do.
