My two and a half year old daughter still has quite the attachment to her pacifier. Her almost nine month old brother uses a pacifier occasionally – mainly when he’s down on the floor playing, as it tumbling out of his reach encourages him to try to move to go after it.
Ever since her brother started using a pacifier, Alyssa has decided that the grass is greener on the other side, and wants to try out his. This has resulted in many, “Alyssa, give your brother his nummy back!” and “Alyssa, that is Ryan’s, not yours!”
Tonight, while she was rolling around on the floor near Ryan, she dropped her pacifier. Ryan, quick as lightning, rolled towards it, grabbed it, shoved it in his mouth, then rolled away, out of her reach.
I’m still giggling over the look on her face.
