BREASTFEEDING LAW RALLY – HARRISBURG – MAY 7TH
In support of the pending breastfeeding legislation, sponsoring senator Constance Williams has scheduled a Rally on Monday, May 7th at 1 p.m. at the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Senator Williams has introduced three breastfeeding bills: Senate Bill 34 protects breastfeeding in public, SB 35 ensures that a woman cannot be fired or discriminated against in the workplace for breastfeeding or expressing milk during breaks or lunch and SB 36 offers tax credits to businesses that support breastfeeding mothers. All three bills are currently still in committees though it is hoped that Bill 34 will be out of the Judiciary Committee soon.
