What kind of birthday parties do you have for your child(ren)? Small, family gatherings? Mid-sized parties in back yards, at the park or at Chuck E. Cheese style places? Or do you go all out and have big, lavish affairs that involve RSVPing and possibly catering?
Between money and stress levels, I am quite happy with having small, family gatherings. For my daughter’s first two birthdays we had parties at our house, with both my family and my husband’s family invited. We did go ahead and and have custom cakes ordered from local stores, but that’s because I really liked Winnie the Pooh and Blue’s Clues and do not have the talent to do it myself.
So… what kind of parties do you do, or plan on doing?
