My oldest younger brother (I have two) has driven me crazy when it comes to thinking up thoughtful, enjoyable Christmas and birthday presents. He likes money (not that thoughtful of a gift). He likes video games (expensive!!!). And not much else.
But after listening to him go on about the science museum in Philadelphia, or different experiments he’s read about in books and online, I’ve come to realize something that is crucial when it comes to buying gifts: my brother loves science!
sciencekits.com is a site that is a dream come true to people like me, or anyone looking to buy science kits for themselves or anyone else. They have kits for science projects, for electricity, environmental science (something that has always interested me), and many other kits.
My brother’s birthday is coming up soon (July 1st), so I’ve started shopping around for gift ideas. Now that I’ve seen this site, I think I’ll order something from them. Now it’s a matter of which kit! I really like the nitty-gritty soil science kit, which demonstrates all aspects of how plants grow, including soil texture, pH levels, the functios of earth worms, and more.
The other kit I like is the anatomy kit. It would make a neat display to put on my brother’s computer desk.
If you were buying a science kit for your twelve or so year old, which kit would you choose?
