Behold, the crockpot

I can’t stress enough how ingenious, convenient and downright awesome the crockpot is. My mother used one of these a lot when I was growing up, but I never fully grasped their awesomeness until I was married and managing a household of my own. I received my crockpot (the same one as pictured) as a raffle gift during the summer of 2004, while I was pregnant with my first child. I immediately used it – throwing together tasty meals, soups and stews into the crockpot in the morning, then going with my husband to work, knowing we would be coming up to a delicious ready-to-serve meal that night.

Now that I’m busy with two small children, I use my crockpot at least one a week. There are so many different recipes to try out. This is one kitchen product I definitely can’t live without!
