The differences between two children of the same blood astound me.
Alyssa has been grumpy, moody, and whiny since birth. In regards to milestones – she was walking unassisted by ten months, but didn’t start to string together two and three word phrases/sentences until she was 29 months old. Breastfeeding was a failure, because she took to the bottles we stupidly introduced too soon, so by the time she was eight weeks old I was pumping exclusively.
Ryan has been a smiling ray of sunshine since birth. He is going to be ten months old in a few days and still isn’t crawling – he drags himself around. Yet he has always been very vocal, and has reached the “da da da”, etc., milestones much sooner than Alyssa did. Breastfeeding has been a success and is still going strong. We held off a bit longer on introducing bottles – around eleven weeks of age, but he took the breast just fine even after having a bottle.
How are your children?
