Dear Wachovia: you suck
Very early this morning – around 3am – I was with my mom at Wal-mart. I know, nice and trashy to be out shopping that late/early, but oh well. Anyway, I agreed to front her purchases – $500 worth – and she would give me the money on Monday morning. Okay, fine, cool, whatever, let’s go.
My card is declined. Twice on the credit side, twice on the debit side, three times at the ATM. I called Wachovia, and they told me there was a system upgrade going on, but it shouldn’t be affecting the ability to use ATM cards. But they would submit a complaint for me, sorry, blah blah blah, try again at 9am, goodbye.
This evening rolls around. I try to pay a bill over the phone. Again, declined. So then I try to pay for a paid account for my livejournal. Declined.
I call up Wachovia again. This time I’m breathing fire. Anyway, long story short, a hold was put on my account because of the amount I tried to pay for at Wal-mart. Verify the purchase and we’ll release the hold on your account. What? Excuse me? You mean to tell me I could have had access to my card back at Wal-mart if the stupid woman I spoke to on the phone had checked for the hold?
Cue near explosion from me!
