I have decided to put Alyssa in “big girl” panties. As I said before , she is ready. More than ready. So, tomorrow, while I’m out running errands, I’m going to pick up a pack of fancy, lacy, frilly underwear, and show them to her tomorrow night. We’ll have a talk about going potty in the big potty like Mommy and Daddy does. We’ll talk about wearing big girl panties just like Mommy does, and that we do not go potty in the big girl panties. And, I’ll watch her like a hawk, heh.
I have heard of other parents doing this method – provided that their toddlers are showing many signs of being ready, like Alyssa is – and having great success. Has it worked for you?
I’m spending this quiet, boring Friday night cropping and resizing photos in Adobe Photoshop. The photos are of clothes and such from Alyssa and Ryan, and will be posted on freecycle(.org) shortly.
