There is a new trend nowdays going around among the “crunchy” moms on livejournal and other communities where mothers congregate to. This trend? “Un”schooling. It is exactly what it sounds like – deliberately NOT sending your child to school, NOT homeschooling your child, and letting he or she find his own way.
To that I say – what the hell? Please, do not raise ignorant, stupid children and foist them off onto society when they reach the age of eighteen. It’s cruel to all involved.
And on that note, I strongly feel that many homeschooling parents are not qualified to homeschool. There, I said it. Shoot me!
