Disbelief and disgust

The search was on for the fall wardrobe. For underwear, my choices were bikini, boy cut, low rise, hipsters and thong. For shirts, I had halters, off the shoulder, spaghetti strap tank tops, belly baring tops and tube tops. For pants, I was limited to low waisted and low rise pants that hugged the hips and butt and flared out seductively at the knee. Shoes? Heels, wedges, toe revealing sandals, lacy straps and fancy ties.

Oh. Did I mention that I was shopping for my three year old daughter?

What the hell is the matter with clothing manufacturers today? Even worse, what kind of excuse for a parent would willingly dress their little girls up as whores?

I have pretty much boycotted Wal-Mart since seeing this documentary, but even before I stayed clear of Wal-Mart after being disgusted with a lot of the clothing they carried for girls.

Repeat after me: there is no need to dress your daughter as a whore. You’re going to have a hell of a time keeping her out of tube tops and mini skirts when she is a teenager, so why would you willingly put such revealing clothes on her when she is barely out of diapers?
