The grandmother of a woman who gave birth to a baby in a McDonald’s toilet said her granddaughter didn’t know she was pregnant, didn’t know she’d given birth and never intended to hurt her baby.

She said her 20-year-old granddaughter was working at the drive-through window at a Midtown McDonald’s when she felt a pain in her side and asked her boss if she could use the restroom.

Overweight, unexpected pregnancy or not, I just don’t see how anyone can NOT know they are pregnant. Forget weight gain (especially since weight gain can be minimal, or in the case of my first pregnancy, non-existent!), but think of the other symptoms. Swollen stomach. Aches. Pains. Cramps. LACK OF PERIOD. Tender breasts. Heartburn. Nausea. Do these women live under a rock? When I was twelve, barely into puberty and just getting my period, I knew the symptoms of pregnancy! How can these women NOT know?
