I really like the educational software that Knowledge Adventure (found at knowledgeadventure.com) has to offer. I remember Knowledge Adventure from when my mother purchased the first family computer. This was back in 1998, when $2000 was a perfectly acceptable price for a computer sporting a 4gb hard drive, a 256mHz processor, 64mb worth of RAM, a 21″ beast of a monitor, a cheap little printer, wired speakers, mouse and key board, and a software suite including kids educational games from Knowledge Adventure.
I like Knowledge Adventure because their games are educational and interactive, but they are also fun. And when it comes to teaching children effectively, you sometimes need to incorporate at least a little fun into the mix. I remember my younger brothers enjoying the math software that Knowledge Adventure had created. Imagine, actually enjoying math problems!
