Dan worked an early shift today, so instead of his normal second shift, he was home by 4pm, rather than rushing out the door to work. It’s nice, even if it does mean having another body underfoot for the evening.
I’m sitting here trying to think of what to make for dinner. My brothers like beef stroganoff, which was my original plan, but now that Dan is home, I don’t know… Dan doesn’t like beef stroganoff! I might make twice baked potatoes, but I would need to run out and get some kind of meat to have with it.
My mom is currently here, cursing at my printer. I don’t know what it is with her, but if she gets within five feet of a printer, it suddenly stops working. It happened the other day at her house. It happened yesterday while she was on Dan’s computer. And now it’s happening again today, while she is trying to print and fax from my multi-function printer.
And I knew my day wouldn’t be perfect, as I earlier thought it would be. While Alyssa quickly got over her stomach bug from yesterday, the cat is now sick. Only in his case, he is vomiting everywhere. I’m thisclose to putting him in the bathroom with a towel, litter box and some kibbles and water. While I hate to quarantine him, I’m getting tired of scrubbing cat vomit out of my carpet.
