It’s funny how walking a mile in someone’s shoes can really change your perspective. Around seven years ago, I thought it horrible when a mother mentioned about smoking a bowl of pot after her children were in bed for the night. I thought – and asked her – how she could do such a thing when she has children.
Now here I am, a mother of two, and I am joyfully looking forward to the few alcoholic drinks (probably nothing more than strawberry dacquiris and perhaps a pina colada) my husband and his brothers plan on whipping up for the four of us. Of course, the children are in bed.
What have you done an about-face on since becoming a parent?
