I really like grandfather clocks. Howard Miller clocks, in particular, carry a very nice selection of grandfather clocks. There are many other types of grandfather clocks at 1-800-4clocks.com.
My mom recently acquired my grandfather’s grandfather clock, as he is in a nursing home and there is a possibility that most of his assets will be sold off to pay for his care. She wanted to have his grandfather clock, because it has been in the family for over twenty years, and has a lot of sentimental value to her. And to me, as well.
This last weekend I had to remind my mom of Daylight Saving Time, as this post on grandfatherclocksblog.com pointed out. It seems like the weekend we change the times forward and back change year after year.
Anyway, back to grandfather clocks. I like my grandfather’s grandfather clock, and would most likely choose one that resembled his. This one is a nice grandfather clock. I’m not sure if I like the dark wood, but I love the face of the clock, and all of the features that it has. I think that grandfather clocks add a nice touch to any household, and I hope to someday be able to add one to our household. Of course, due to the price range that grandfather clocks fall in, they’re out of our league for now, so I’ll have to content myself with viewing my grandfather’s clock at my mother’s house.
