I’m in the process of backing up my photos to blank DVDs. As any person who has experienced it can tell you, it REALLY, REALLY SUCKS to lose photos. I somehow lost photos from December 23rd – December 31st, 2006. While I have most of them on my Flickr, they have been cropped, resized and watermarked. As stupid as this sounds, the fact that those photos in original form are “lost” to me forever is kind of upsetting. Especially since last Christmas was Ryan’s first Christmas.
Anyway, I have since learned my lesson, and I back up photos religiously! In addition to backing photos up on DVD, I also make copies of all of my photos on both the desktop and the laptop. So unless both computers spontaneously explode and the DVDs cease to function, I’ll be okay. *crosses fingers*
