Christmas portraits

I don’t think I ever got around to posting our Christmas portraits! I meant to, but then our weekend was very busy, on Monday I took care of errands and went to a consult with my oral surgeon, on Tuesday I was in pins and needles about my wisdom tooth surgery scheduled for Wednesday morning, and then yesterday I had my wisdom tooth surgery. (It wasn’t pleasant – read more here). Since then I have been feeling pretty out of it, napping a lot, laying around, and trying to ignore my bruised, swollen and tender face. Oh, and the four gaping holes in my mouth that will hopefully heal over without any infections or dry socket!

Anyway, we had our family portraits done the same night Alyssa and Ryan saw Santa Claus. I made up Christmas cards on Monday, finished addressing the envelopes on Tuesday, and Dan mailed all of them (almost fifty – where do all of these people come from?!) out today. Hopefully everyone receives one in time for Christmas!

I love making our own Christmas cards. :) It’s so much more rewarding to come up with something yourself (this year I drew the design as well!), rather than buying a box of cards and simply signing your name. What was really great was how HP pulled through. Last minute (Monday!!!) I realized that I did not have any of the 4″ x 8″ photo cards I would need. Well, not only did HP have the 40 pk. of 4″ x 8″ photo cards WITH envelopes in stock, but buy one get one free AND free NEXT DAY delivery. For under $18 I had my photo cards on Tuesday. Yay! Now, if only I could find similar good deals on printer ink… I’m all out. :(
