Earlier today Alyssa, Ryan and I watched Christmas movies and had lunch while Dan went out to take care of some errands. He surprised us when he came home with a Christmas tree! I meant to pick one up earlier this week, but obviously didn’t feel up to it. I was also kind of dreading going out this weekend with Dan and the kids to pick up a tree. Thank goodness Dan took care of the task for me. He said he felt bad for doing it without my input, but I was quite happy that he took care of it! Besides, while the tree is incredibly fat, it’s a gorgeous tree, and I love it.
Alyssa helped us decorate the Christmas tree. Dan put the ornaments on the hooks, and Alyssa brought me the ornaments to hang on the tree. Ryan batted at the ornaments he could reach, and then ran off with a few stray decorative bows to chew on and throw around.
Despite feeling like total crap tonight, I went with Dan and the kids to Target. Dan took Ryan and picked out Christmas presents for Alyssa, and Alyssa and I picked out Christmas presents for Ryan. We then met up and grabbed some miscellaneous Christmas decorations, wrapping paper and wrapping tools and came home, after a quick pit stop at Wendys for kids meals for Alyssa and Ryan, a hamburger and fries for Dan and a nice, soft, easy to swallow frosty for myself.
Ugh. I would blog more, except that the Vicodin is starting to kick in. :/
