Last May, I told you about True Mom Confessions. I confess that TMC is a daily visit for me. I love to read the confessions, I love to “me too” the confessions that apply to me, and I love to read the message board. I’m a member of the message board, but I don’t post as often as I used to, because 1) I don’t have the time and 2) I have no desire to dive into the massive Mommy drama that seems to plague the board on a near daily basis.
Recently, I have noticed many members of the TMC message board complaining about their confessions not being posted. I brushed it off, figuring they were posting confessions that were redundant, ridiculous, or devised to start drama on the board. But now? I’m second guessing my decision to brush off those complaints, because now I’m finding that most of my confessions aren’t being posted! And I can assure you, my confessions are legitimate, well written without being too rambling or confusing, true to motherhood and parenthood and marriage*, and definitely not being posted for drama. Obviously, I won’t share my confessions here, as I would like them to remain anonymous, but take my word for it when I say that my confessions are worthy of being on the TMC site.
So, TMC moderators, what gives? What criteria determines a confession’s worth, or lack there of?
I would start up my own confession website in a heartbeat, except that I have not found an adequate PHP-coded confessions/anonymous posting script, and I don’t have the knowledge or the time to write my own script. The best thing I can do is create some anonymous posting threads at Lavish – as soon as the anonymous posting for phpbb 3 mod is ready to go!
