Dan already has big ideas for our 2008 tax retun and his inheritance check for that year. He wants to re-do our living room with new furniture. Now, I’m always one for picking out and buying new furniture, but do we really need it? We don’t have a lot of room to work with in our living room, and I like our current living room furniture just fine! The one exception, of course, is Dan’s beast of a desk. That needs replacing (does anyone know if Coaster furniture sells computer desks?), but otherwise… I like our entertainment center, my desk, our recliner, couch, end tables and coffee table. For the most part, they all match. And they’re all in very good condition! The one scuff along the coffee table can easily be sanded away and re-stained, and the glitter that is decorating one of the sofa cushions will surely come off with some hot soap and water.
And to think, my husband accuses me of frivolous spending! I have never frivolously spent to the tune of several thousand dollars worth of furniture!
