So apparently you can use a medicare supplement to ensure that you have optimal health insurance coverage. My mom has medicare, and she has griped a lot about this not being covered, that not being covered, or having to pay co-pays for a certain length of time before being eligible for the discount or complete waiving of those co-pays.
And speaking of co-pays…eesh. Some of the co-pays we have to deal with for certain visits and specialists and such make me want to fall over in shock!

Hi friend
When you mention “co-pays”, that tells me your mom does NOT have a Medicare Supplement plan. She may have a “Medicare Advantage Plan”. If she does, that is common with those plans. A real Medicare Supplement Plan may solve her problems.

Hey, thank you for the info. I know she definitely has Medicare, and she has co-pays she needs to make on her medications until she reaches a certain dollar amount. After that her meds are free.
The co-pays aren’t a lot by themselves, but she lives on a fixed income and has a lot of meds to pick up each month, so it can quickly add up.
Thank you for the info. I will pass it on to her.
