When I was a child, I loved to read. I had a book with me at all times. I burned through books at a quick pace, too. I remember coming down with the chicken pox when I was ten, and having to stay home from school for eight days. My mom went to the library for me, and borrowed 35 Babysitter’s Club books. I read them all in the eight days I was confined to our apartment!
My love of reading is one thing I sincerely hope to pass on to both of my children. 
Alyssa is at a great age for reading, so I have been making sure to read at least one book to her every day. Since we’ve read almost every book in her collection, I hopped onto Amazon and eBay just a little while ago and purchased the following childhood classics:
- Corduroy
- Goodnight Moon
- I Love You Forever
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- Where the Wild Things Are
