I think the stomach bug has finally worked its way out of our household. Now I’m sitting here crossing my fingers and toes, praying that I haven’t jinxed myself by declaring all of us well. But geez… that thing just hung up and made the duration of last week long and miserable. And disgusting. Very disgusting. And expensive. I did thirty loads of laundry in the span of seven days. Most of that laundry consisted of pillows, stuffed animals, blankets and bed sheets. There were some clothes – pajamas, undershirts, and my husband’s work clothes and both of our regular attire, but the overwhelming majority was definitely bed stuff. That’s because whenever Alyssa got sick, it was in her bed, and/or down the side of it. And when Ryan was very sick, he was in the playpen, or in my arms with blankets and cloth diapers to catch and clean up the mess.
My brothers now have the stomach bug. We thought that by Friday we wouldn’t be contagious any longer, but we were wrong. My brothers were visiting for my mother’s 50th birthday party on Saturday, and by Sunday morning my mom called to let me know that they were both sick. :/ She seems to be the only one that hasn’t gotten it. Of course, she’s smart: washing her hands, and staying far away from the rest of us!
I’m tired, but it has been nine long days since hubby and I have had any “alone” time where we weren’t sick or asleep, so I plan on waiting up for him tonight.
