Dan and I took Alyssa to the Philadelphia zoo on Sunday. I did very well with packing everything we’d need: reuseable water bottles (three of them — we drank all three and refilled one of them two more times!), snacks, cell phone, money, tickets, parking pass, directions, ipod, extra batteries from my camera, extra clothes for Alyssa (she’s potty trained, but you never know!) and sunscreen. But somehow, the sunscreen jumped out of my purse and didn’t make it to the zoo with us. I said we’d buy more, but then… I forgot.
My forgetfulness cost me:
Thank goodness, it didn’t cost Alyssa. She’s got good genes, I think, because she didn’t get burned. AT ALL. Nothing on her face, hairline, neck or arms. Thank goodness!
Anyway, the zoo was a lot of fun. The trip down was boring, with some heavy traffic, boring credit card debt relief commercials, bright sun shining in the windows (I wouldn’t be surprised if I got some of my sunburn just from the drive!), and a quick stop for Alyssa to go to the bathroom, but it went quick.
Did you do anything special for Memorial Day weekend?
