We’re fat, not pregnant

I wish clothing designers would get it through their thick skulls that being fat is NOT the same as being pregnant. I have no desire to emphasize my fatness in a way that makes me look pregnant. But apparently clothing designers think I feel otherwise, because time and time again they create plus size clothing that resembles maternity clothes. We’re talking tunics, long tops with flowing sleeves, the dreaded gathered-at-the-bust tops that flow over and outwards, and pants with *gasp* elastic banding.

Fat. Not prego. Big difference!

Lol, I tried the very opposite. When I was pregnant, I didn’t want maternity clothes so I just wore bigger clothes for a while. I quickly found out that being pregnant IS very different than just gaining weight (and promptly switched to maternity clothing)
