Despite admiring the fashion style of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Natasha Bedingfield, my own personal clothing style is simple. I like snug fitting jeans that flair out from the knee or calf down, tops that accentuate the good and hide the bad, and comfortable and chunky looking shoes. Colors? Grays, blacks, dark blues, silver, and sometimes pink. In terms of jewelry, I love sterling silver. The only gold pieces of jewelry I own and wear are my wedding band, engagement ring and a pair of emerald earrings (the studs/posts/backs are gold).
I only really go all out with colors and style experimentation when it comes to makeup. Pink, purple, blue, green, gold, silver (I love silver, so it shows up frequently in my makeup!), you name it, it’s happening. And if it shimmers or has glitter in it, then it’s just that much better.
Anyway, reading about the Dockers contest that Dockers and NBC have teamed up to hold got me thinking about my own personal sense of style.
The contest is pretty neat — create a commercial for Dockers, and a lucky winner will have theirs broadcast during the Tonight Show with Jay Leno (love that guy!). Someone with more time on their hands than me and more creativity than I’ll ever hope to possess should take my love of certain colors and use them in a commercial and then enter! Think of the fame you might get as a result.
