When I was fourteen, my mom bought me a portable CD player. Back in those days we didn’t have MP3 players, so I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Especially with the wrap-around-the-head styled earphones and anti-skip mechanism on the CD player (though it drained the batteries pretty fast). I still remember using that CD player, and carrying it with me everywhere.
Good times, good times. These days, CD players are pretty much a thing of the past. Am I weird for feeling a bit sad about that? I mean, when I was a kid I experienced and enjoyed boom boxes, Walkmans and portable CD players. Alyssa and Ryan will be jamming with MP3 players, probably ones small enough to fit in their ears!
