A few weeks ago a company emailed me and asked if I’d be interested in purchasing one of their treadmills. They said they wanted me to review the product. I told them I’d happily review it, but I’m not going to pay for a product that a company *wants* me to review (of course, I would return it if they’d want me to).
They then responded with, “well, you’ll need to purchase it, but we’ll refund the purchase as soon as the review is complete and to our satisfaction”.
Um, thanks but no thanks. If you’re approached for a product review, you should not have to pay for the product!

I agree 100%. If they want you to review you it, then they should give or at the very least lend it to you to review it.
