What next?

My mother has had nothing but problem after problem with her minivan, even though she claims to love it. She got it in March of 2001.
In December of 2001, the transmission breaks.
In 2003, the AC starts leaking. A “full charge”, which will last most cars for YEARS (my 2002 Kia Spectra is running on its original AC charge, thanks to a good ac compressor), lasts her for a matter of weeks. The problem is an $0.84 gasket that will cost over $400 in labor to replace.
In 2006, the transmission breaks. Again. This time it takes out an axle part with it.
Then, this summer, its spark plugs die. And the battery. And the service engine light won’t go off.

All I can say is, what next?
