The best baby clothes to keep around after they have been used for their “proper” use is cloth diapers — specifically, the prefolds. These make great dust wipes, “catch” cloths for sick toddlers and children, and packing materials. And yes, I have used old and ratty prefold diapers and even some old, torn up baby clothes as dust cloths, “catch” cloths for my son when he was sick last spring, and to pack a laptop and a digital camera before shipping them.
