For those of you with toddlers and preschoolers, how do you dress them? Character sets? Matching outfits? Whatever goes? As for me, I’m kind of picky with how my kids are dressed. There’s nothing that looks worse than a sloppily dressed young child, especially when you know it’s the parents who are responsible for how they look.
For Alyssa, she has her pick of nice denim jeans, khaki pants or corduroy pants. She also has a few skirts for winter and spring, with various types of tights and leggings to match. Then she has a lot of different tops — turtlenecks, long-sleeve shirts, blouses, sweaters and cardigans. Everything is in excellent condition, and she doesn’t have any character clothing besides a few Hello Kitty shirts and two skirts.
Ryan’s winter clothing consists of denim jeans and cargo pants, a few coordinating sweatsuit outfits from Babies ‘r Us, and long-sleeved tops (again, no character clothing). For the spring and summer, he has denim shorts, solid colored khaki shorts and plaid shorts, and some polo tops and a few solid colored shirts.
I think having well-dressed kids is very important.
