The Swine flu hasn’t hit our community, though state wide four suspected cases of it have been reported. I admit that I am worried. I’m not worrying to the point that I’m overly paranoid of everyone and everything, but I am definitely being more vigilant with hand washing and hand sanitizing. I’m also cautioning my husband, who works out in public, to wash his hands more frequently, or to use hand sanitizer if he can’t get to a sink.
I mean really, besides hand washing and limiting contact with other people, and staying far, FAR away from people who are sick, what else can we do? I’ve seen several live satellite webcasts from WHO and the White House, but all they’re doing is scaring everybody even more.
The good thing, I suppose, is that if caught early, it can be treated. Also, have any deaths in the U.S. been reported? I know there was a 22 month old boy who died, but he was infected in Mexico and died after crossing over into the U.S. Poor baby…
