I love that saying. My mom has said it since I was a child. Who knows where she got it from, all I know is that depending on the context, it’s hilarious.
Anyway, the title of this entry has been inspired by Ryan, who has been all over me lately. Usually he’s very independent and wants to walk on his own, without guidance, without me holding his hand or keeping a hand on his shoulder to “guide” him along. All of a sudden he wants to be carried. Carried to the car, to bed, to the kitchen, into the store, into a restaurant, to the bathroom, etc. Have I mentioned that he is about 40 lbs., and a densely packed 40 lbs. at that? Alyssa isn’t too far behind him at 38ish lbs., but she’s longer and her weight is more distributed, plus her arms and legs are longer, and she twines them around your body, so she doesn’t feel nearly as heavy. With Ryan, it’s like carrying a sack of sand. A heavy, often squirmy sack of sand.
It’s sweet, though. I love when he gets all cuddly, even if my back and arm is breaking in the process!
