I have to leave in a few minutes to take Ryan to an evaluation. Now that he is three years old, he will no longer be receiving the state-funded and state-provided services from the agency that he was from the time he had his first evaluation at eighteen months of age. He’ll now be handled by a different agency, the one that will be overseeing his educational and at-home needs for therapy services until he graduates from high school (what a depressing thought
).
He has another evaluation with a different center on September 17th; that evaluation will determine what kind of mobile therapy (therapists that will work with him at school and in the community) he’ll be eligible for. That center also has their own speech therapists and special preschool classes, which he may be eligible for.
Wish us luck! I’ll post again once we’re back with the results.
