Every Christmas I donate something to Toys for Tots. When I was in my early teens my mom signed my brothers up to receive gifts from the charity, and I was always impressed at how nice and thoughtful many of the gifts were. I guess you could say I’m now returning the favor, but it’s more than that. I have two precious children that I love more than life itself, and I can’t imagine other people having children and not being able to give them something nice for Christmas.
This year I got a head start on Toys for Tots. While I was shopping for birthday presents and fall childrens clothes for Ryan, I found a few really NICE toys (I’m talking $20+, name brand and popular) that were 75% off. I bought them and had our husband put them into storage until it’s closer to Christmas, when the Toys for Tots donation bins will open up. I can’t wait. I won’t know who receives the toys, of course, but knowing that a parent or caregiver will be able to give their child something nice for Christmas makes me feel good.
Do you give to Toys for Tots? You really should. Many big stores like Target and Walmart have bins right inside their main entrances, so it isn’t hard to pick up a $5 or $10 toy while you’re shopping and drop it in the bin on the way out.

I give toys to toys for tots. I also donate books to the kids and the libraries and stuff. I like doing stuff like that.
