Holy crap I feel like I am racing against the clock today. My alarm got me up at 8:15am, but because I was tired and worn out from being up early and on the go all day, every day for several days in a row, it wasn’t until 8:30am that I got dressed and put my contacts in. Then it was a rush to get the kids up, dressed, fed and ready for preschool, and we were five minutes late running out the door. Thank god we’re less than a fourth of a mile from their preschool!
Now I’ve been rushing for the past hour. The three of us are going to visit my brothers this afternoon at 3:00pm, so we need to leave by 2:30pm. I just threw brownies (the super awesome Betty Crocker Supreme Brownies with Hershey Syrup variety, you know, the ones that practically require a weight loss product to be taken with them!) in the toaster oven (have I mentioned that I love my toaster oven? Well, I do. It is QUITE awesome!) about fifteen minutes ago. I hope they’ll cool quickly enough for me to frost and decoration before we leave at 2:30pm. An hour and twenty minutes or so should be enough time, right?
Whew. Jason is taking Ryan out for dinner, and I’m hoping to pawn Alyssa off on my mom for the evening, so that I can come back home and have some MUCH needed downtime for a little bit!
P.S. Ryan was great at preschool today. The start was rough, but his teacher said he was great at playtime, was quick to transition from being outside to coming inside, and was even first at the craft table.
