We are! Alyssa decided to be a pink unicorn this year. Her original choice was Batgirl, inspired by a pink Batgirl costume she saw on a Halloween costumes website. I was so glad I made the decision to take her to Target and let her look at the in-store costumes, because she collapsed into a fit of giggles when she saw the unicorn costume, and then insisted on trying it on. She also liked the princess costumes, but I wasn’t keen on buying matching crowns, monogrammed jewelry and wands to complete the look. That kind of costume can easily cost $30 or more!
When I took the kids to the park the other day I asked Alyssa if I could bring along her costume for her to wear so that I could take pictures. Naturally, she was happy to oblige.
Ryan didn’t model his costume, but that’s because it hadn’t yet arrived in the mail. He is going to be Wow Wow Wubbzy this year. Dan and I did some deliberating before I found this costume. The main hangup with Ryan is finding a costume that he will be willing to keep on. That pretty much excludes everything but smock-like costumes. Fortunately, the Wow Wow Wubbzy costume is a perfect smock style. I paid $24.95 for it on eBay. It’s a 3T-4T, and let me tell you, he just fits into it!

I remember when my daughter was 3 I bought her a pink unicorn costume and she was super cute.
What a cute post, I bet Halloween is so much fun when you have children.
