It's sick, twisted, and makes me want to rip the parents heads off. Typically, it's a woman choosing a man over her child(ren) however, it happens quite often with married couples too. I know of a couple where the mother and father put each other over the children and even OTHER men/women over their children (as in while they're cheating on each other).
