Halloween should be held ON Halloween. Period.

About this time twelve years ago I got the shock of my life: some lame-ass, retarded and conservative townships and county governments have this crazy idea that designating any day other than October 31st as the night for Trick-or-Treat and other Halloween events will preserve morality and religion, and reduce the number of vandals and troublemakers that are out and about.

My scathing and sarcastic introduction to this blog post should clearly tell you how I feel about this subject. Twelve years later — twelve Halloweens later — and it still pisses me off. Seriously? Ordering residents to do the whole Trick-or-Treat ritual on any night other than the 31st of October just makes it inconvenient for adults to plan out working schedules and such.

Surprise surprise, Trick-or-Treat will not be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2009. Instead, it will be held on October 30th, 2009. Capital L LAME.

LOL, what? That’s silly. I’m sure the vandals and troublemakers REALLY care about the date.

My town does trick-or-treating on Oct 30th, but that’s so more people can go to the parade on Halloween night. =)
