When your kid is sick, you can comfort them, give them Tylenol or Motrin for a fever, provide them with plenty of water or juice, chicken noodle soup, toast, warm blankets and snuggles. But when you’re sick, there’s no one to cuddle you, especially when your husband is at work. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned about being sick, it’s that the kids will be ten times worse when you’re feeling at your worst.
By the way, I have been sick this week, and the kids have been absolutely infuriating whenever I’ve been feeling at my worst. Whining, crying, fighting, smacking each other, getting into things, etc. It just makes me want to lock them up somewhere so I can wallow in misery in peace.
