So, who ventured out on Black Friday? I originally said that wild horses couldn’t drag me out on Black Friday, but I changed my mind late that morning. I had been cooped up in the house since my surgery, with the exception of a brief outing on Tuesday afternoon and a trip over to Dan’s aunt’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. So out I went. Actually, we all went out. We picked up Dan’s paycheck, then went to the bank, where Dan cashed his check and my mom met up with us. Ryan and I went with her, while Alyssa went with Dan, since we each had separate errands to do and places to go.
First we went to the mall, where I picked up something from Sephora for one of my sisters-in-law, and something from Victoria’s Secret for my other sister-in-law. Then we made a quick stop at Auntie Anne’s — a pretzel for Ryan, a bottle of water for myself.
Our last stop was Target. There I picked up my brothers-in-law’s Christmas gifts. I was initially looking into some Shop NBC Promo Codes and other online coupon codes, but decided that the shipping on the items in question wouldn’t really be worth the savings I’d get from the coupons. So I put those aside for other potential purchases, and went ahead and purchased the gifts in question from Target.
I also picked up a few odds and ends for the kids, and some fat-free, sugar-free pudding for myself.
As much as I enjoyed getting out on Friday, I definitely overdid things. I was feeling achy, dizzy and lightheaded mid-way through the mall. I was dying through Target, and we couldn’t get home fast enough. Once home I flopped on the couch for a good two hours, sitting up only to eat — and only because I had to. Blah.
So, that was my Black Friday. How was yours?
