You know, when I was a kid I couldn’t WAIT for Christmas Break. It was especially awesome once I was in high school, since having two weeks off from school meant sleeping in, eating whatever & whenever I wanted to, enjoying my Christmas presents, and playing on the computer and using the internet without having to worry about getting up early, going to bed early, doing homework, researching articles for said homework, etc.
Now? Damn, why can’t the kids go back to preschool for a few days this week and next week? Alyssa and Ryan are off from regular preschool until January 6th, and I think Ryan is off from his special preschool until the following week. I don’t know what I’m going to do with them for these next two weeks! The kids are used to going to bed early, getting up early and having preschool to look forward to three & four days a week. Right now Alyssa is with Dan’s aunt, uncle and his two sisters, but she’ll be coming home in a few days… and then there’s Ryan. We took him out to lunch today, but I don’t want to be burning through a lot of money for outings, it’s too cold to really play outside, and it sucks being cooped up for day after day… Plus I do need to be at home at least a majority of the time so I can work. I have so much writing to do… on business cards, on state-provided patient assistance programs, and then there’s the web design, and the continual build-up of posts to complete, etc. Bah, I’m exhausted just from thinking about it!
Ugh, ideas please! The kidlets are 3 and 5…
