We got a Wii!

Or should I say, I got a Wii. I’ve been thinking about getting a Wii for several months, but never got around to it. Then I was with my husband at his aunt’s house last night, and his sisters brought out Super Mario Bros., the game they just got for their Wii system for Christmas. I played for about half an hour, and was instantly hooked. SO hooked, in fact, that I wanted to pick up a copy of the game after we left their house last night. Unfortunately, the Walmart we ran to was closed, and the two local ones near our house were sold out. So today I got up early, called Target to confirm they had the game in stock, then pestered Dan to get up and come out with me and get it.

Fast forward to 3:00pm, when we get home and I’m all ready to play it… except that my mother’s Wii system, which we’ve been borrowing for a while, only has one remote! Oh no! So I run BACK out to get a Wii remote… only I can’t find any in stock. So before I change my mind, I buy a whole Wii system for us. We now have two remotes — the one that came with our Wii system, and my mother’s Wii remote, which we’ll use until I get around to buying a second one for us.

I love this game! I’m working on getting done work ASAP so I can go out and play some more, hehe.

P.S. Now I just need some cheap health insurance, and my Christmas wishlist will be complete! Seriously! Dan pays almost $500 a MONTH to cover us. It’s ridiculous.

P.P.S. Hiccups normally suck, but in my case they’re a good thing. Hiccups remove excess air, which means I get to keep my food IN my stomach pouch, instead of having to vomit it out.

P.P.P.S. I can’t wait until Alyssa finds out we got a Wii! And it’ll be super awesome when Ryan is old enough to play some games with us. :)

  1. I was never a big video game player. I won a Wii at a gold tourney though. Now I play way too much. Addicting.
