I had gastric bypass surgery ten weeks ago as of this Wednesday. Before surgery I lost close to 45 lbs., and I’ve lost another 40 lbs. since having the surgery. Now that I’m fully recovered and cleared to go back to my normal physical routine, I want to start a regular exercise regimen. Between the fear of loose skin, the dreaded bingo flaps (I already have a minor case of them) and just wanting to tone up, I think exercising regularly would be a great thing to do.
Right before my surgery I received an exercise/weight loss/toning up KettleWorx Ultra 5 kit from Kettlebell. The kit contains a 5 lb. Kettlebell, and the following DVDs: The Ultimate Body Sculpting Collection (4 DVDs), Fast Fat Burn, Fast Abs and Fat Free in 42 Days. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to try it out, but better late than never, right? So I gave one of the DVDs a go the other night, and oh my god my arms are still aching. I started with the Introductory DVD, thinking that would be a good way to work into the whole system (which is awesome, by the way). It’s really easy to follow along with, and the exercise specialists are upbeat, and the whole atmosphere is upbeat. I could definitely feel the burn, but it wasn’t so bad that I can’t keep up.
I’m taking today to recover, but I plan on jumping right back into the KettleWorx Ultra 5 program as of tomorrow. I hope to see some great results by the time summer rolls around!
