If there’s an opportunity to save money and still get a good quality product or service (speaking of which, I just remembered that I have two $20 rebates to cash in on. Note to self: do the rebates tomorrow!), I’m all for it. When it comes to having 20/20 vision, or as close to 20/20 as I’m going to get, sign me up for the savings, please! I wear contact lenses, but I do like having a pair of glasses around as a back up. You never know when you’re going to need them — and in my case, I have needed them on three different occasions now! But the pair I have is nearly four years old, so I’m more than overdue for a new pair! But since I wear contacts and invest a crap load of money into them, I really do not relish the thought of paying more than thirty or forty bucks for a pair of glasses.
When it comes to cheap prescription eyeglasses, there’s no one I can think of other than Zenni Optical. Heck, even the Examiner is all over them — check out their recent article, cheap eyeglasses are a reality! A few people online I know of have ordered glasses from them, and since they’ve been satisfied with the results, I don’t see why I wouldn’t be either. After all, cheap doesn’t necessarily mean a reduction in quality. In the case of Zenni Optical, it’s the reduction & elimination of middle men and the associated overhead costs that makes the glasses so cheap!
