Guess who didn’t think about sunscreen today? But then, with temps just two weeks ago hitting the freezing mark, and several feet of snow being present on the ground this time a month ago, I think I can be forgiven for overlooking the apparent need for SUNSCREEN in MARCH. But I feel bad, because Alyssa and Ryan got a little bit of sunburn on their cheeks and noses. Not enough to really hurt, I don’t think, but enough that they’re definitely looking pink — as pink as some of the pink ties I have seen guys wear (note: I have nothing against pink. Go for it!). I have a bit of sunburn on my forehead and across my cheekbones, but since I was in the shade a lot of the time — not out playing on in-the-direct-sunlight playground equipment like the kids were, I was saved from anything more significant. Wow, I feel really bad saying that… almost like I sacrificed my kids somehow to save my own skin (literally, heh)? Not that I did… but yeah, when I re-read that it doesn’t look very good!
Anyway, note to self: pack sunscreen next time!
