Alyssa came home with a birthday party invitation on Monday, and Ryan came home with one on Wednesday. As luck would have it, both parties are on the same day (this Saturday), and pretty much at the same time. The party Alyssa has been invited to runs from 1-4, and the party Ryan has been invited to runs from 2-4. Of course both kids have been invited along to each other’s party, but obviously that’s not going to work out well. Since the two party locations are only 20 minutes apart, I think I’ll head to the first one — the one Alyssa has been invited to — and let Ryan stay and play for about 35 minutes. Then we’ll run to the other party, and I guess I’ll hang there with Ryan until it’s over, and then we’ll swing back and pick up Alyssa. Whew! It’s going to be a long Saturday, that’s for sure.
