As the title states, Alyssa is now registered for kindergarten. Kindergarten. Wow, I can’t believe it. She has definitely come a very long way from the days of diapers and baby clothes! Now it’s just a matter of which elementary school she’ll go to. As I mentioned in my last blog entry, there are three schools to choose from. School A is the most likely candidate, School B is a possibility but really far out in the boonies, and School C is the optimal choice for us because that is where Ryan goes to school.
I brought up the possibility of School C to the administrators I spoke with and filled out papers with today. They said that since some students are going to be sent to School C due to there being so many kids registering for kindergarten, it’s a possibility. The fact that Alyssa has a sibling (Ryan, of course) that is already attending School C really gives her a much higher chance of being able to go there as well, especially since transportation is already set up. I’m going to be the squeaky wheel by writing letters requesting that Alyssa be enrolled in School C to both the school superintendent and the superintendent of the special education of the school district. Wish me luck!
