I’ve been a bad, bad Mommy: for the past couple of years, I haven’t gotten a flu vaccination. I think my last one was in 2009. Dan has made sure to get his flu shot almost every year, and the kids have gotten theirs. This year, Alyssa and Ryan received free flu shots at school. Dan made sure to get his before his health insurance ran out. But I? Until today, I did not yet have a vaccination. Last week I was at CVS and asked about getting one, since I was there with my mom and there was a discount/coupon option. But I was turned down because the only shots left were reserved for senior citizens. This week I planned on finding a flu shot for myself once I got paid, but that’s not until later this week.
However, thanks to Jason sending me an email alerting me to the fact that our local health department is giving away free flu shots today, I am now vaccinated. Whoo! One less thing to worry about is always a good thing.
